My name is Mackenzie!

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Illustration for Surface Design and Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2024. Not too long ago, I took a leap of faith and moved from my hometown in New Jersey to a quiet town in Georgia to start a new life and grow in my faith.

Hi there! I’m so glad you stopped by...

My work is inspired by my relationship with Christ, the beauty of everyday life, nature, vibrant colors, and rich textures. I mainly use traditional media like acrylics, watercolor, gouache, and colored pencils, but I love adding little digital touches here and there too.

My dream is to be a full-time artist and hope to share my art in galleries along the way. Thanks again for visiting! Feel free to stick around and reach out to work together.

Accomplishments

Yunus Textiles x SCADPro Collaboration : Piece by Piece

Curated by SCADPro, Piece by Piece was in  collaboration with Yunus Textiles Mills.

My team and I were tasked with creating and delivering a Gen Z bedding collection for Walmart eCommerce. This collection involved ten weeks of research, designing, and delivering reversible comforters, matching sheet sets, pillows, bed skirts, as well additional two quilts.

Our team focused on Gen Z’s desire of expressive statement pieces intertwined with memorable  heritage and neutral palettes with trending motifs and patterns.

The final collection launched in the Summer 2025 and you can purchase here :

Teaching!

I’ve had the honor of partnering with local organizations to lead live, step-by-step painting sessions. These events have been a wonderful way to bring people together through creativity—fostering fun, connection, and a sense of community. Each night has been filled with laughter, learning, and meaningful moments of fellowship

Fashion Collaboration

I had the opportunity to collaborate with Rachel Larson, a fashion designer deeply committed to sustainability, on her senior fashion collection Transcend. Inspired by her spiritual connection to nature, Rachel envisioned a collection that captured femininity and freedom—think big, flowing dresses that make you want to frolic in the grass.Together, we explored a wide range of color combinations, textures, and materials—experimenting with paint, ink, pens, and mixed media—to replicate the dynamic movement of nature through elements like water and wind. During one of our experimental studies, Rachel discovered a page she instantly connected with. That piece became the foundation for the print used throughout her collection.

Permeant Displays

While studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I discovered my passion for creating prints and patterns. Over time, this passion grew into a meaningful part of my creative journey. I’m honored to have had several of my prints and collections selected for permanent display at both SCAD’s Haymans Hall and SCAD Number Nine—an experience that continues to inspire and motivate my work.
